~MiSs CyniCal~: First Day at School

Finally back to school. UOA (University of Auckland) has very high asian population so I don't really feel very out of place. Blends into the school perfectly! Just that planning lecture today is made up of mostly locals.. so quite apparent we are out of no where. The planning lecture is for final year and postgraduates... and for once.. i feel that planning is not just some crapping module. I hope i will survive well in there.

Had the first Japanese lecture today. I thought I could come and qie all the ang mohs in japanese but things didnt turn out as i imagined. 80% of them were asians. Boooo.. no advantage, nobody to qie and lots of people to qie me. Anyway i still enjoyed lecture.. Learning a new language is always fun! what more i always wanted to do Japanese.

Guess how much the textbook and workbook cost?

They're very smart. They anticipated you'll probably get the textbook elsewhere so they combined the textbook and the workbook in one pack. wooooo... that way you can't escape. $112. And thats after a student discount. ha. ha. ha. I was expecting $14. If not.. $40. Anyway they had this lucky draw which gives you a chance to win back your money on the course pack. hmmm.. PICK ME PICK ME!! *waves frantically*

Though school has started, our eat- drink- play- sleep life isnt very much disturbed. Probably because it is only the first day at school. Some pictures i stole from jing's computer.

Zoom in! our breakfast. Milo and one slice of chocolate mud cake. Very budget. One whole cake costs $3+ only! Tasted like pound cake.. so i don't mind. Quite chocolatey :)

Seniors we got to know at UoA. They invited us to Fiona's place to play some poker on mahjong tile game. Cant remember what it is called. Was very tired then.. so didnt quite catch how the game should be played. Stone.... stone.. stoned. Anyway Fiona's place is so pretty compared to ours.. cheaper somemore. We so wanted to move out of our apartment to get something like hers! But it is far from school... trade-off.

Dunkin donuts. FREE dunkin donuts. One of the seniors called cheryl works there so we have free donuts! yum yum. taste much better than those copy cat donuts in Singapore. Jealous???
