Devonport
Quote of the day.
Made a resolution to explore NZ every weekend. Last week we went to fish... this week we went to see volcano! Initially I thought it will be some brown brown volcanoes you see on your geography textbooks. But I guess this one has been extinct for so long, plants started growing all over it already. Looks like a normal hill now. A pretty steep one though.
Devonport is a 10 mins ride away... Andrea, our tour guide for the day say we'll be conquering the hill u see over here! imagine our horror...
Realise that after sometime, the scenery start to look similar. Devonport felt like mission bay.
Pretty flowers.
Very steep.
All that climbing to give an overall view of auckland city. That tall structure is the Sky Tower. I see it right infront of my window. Went all the way to some volcano to look at it from a different angle. hmmmm.
View was pretty good but the pictures cant seem to justify it. Sorry for the lack of skill. The water is supposed to look glitsering under the sun. Use some imagination.
Weird plant I spotted along the way
Top of the volcano! The mountain on the other side of the sea looks more like a volcano though. Maybe they are both volcanoes. YEAH... conquered. Jing asked me not to spread my hands so wide because it was windy and she was afraid i'll fly away. Haha.We tried to do a jump shot. But like all jump shots... it has to fail alot of times before there is one successful one.
Not successful.
HAha this picture looks funny. So weird. Didnt know the timing to jump.
Not successful.
Yeah.. Success! But i look ugly. Damn the hair and the wind. We do look like we're going to be blown away by the wind.
Alot of people bring their dogs to devonport. I like this shot. looks nice and natural.
Me and my very small eyes. I like this dog! Looks very cuddly. The fur is pretty soft too!
Mushroom decos. Super mario style.
Taking a picture of someone taking a picture.
woooo. pretty. People lying on the grass. I have yet to do something like that
We suspected this to be lavender! Didnt smell anything but jing say she did. So, lets take it as lavender. And I want to visit a lavender field someday! Must be so pretty.Nothing much to do at devonport, other than conquering the volcano and maybe another volcano at the other end of the little island. The thought of it is enough to scare us off. Sitting down for a refreshing drink sounds like a nicer idea. And so we picked this nicey cafe out of all that numerous cafes around. Great ambience.I had my sparkling organic lemondae! Haha.. Had a tinge of bitterness but it tasted fine. Thats all for the weekend. Had korean dinner again. We are always eating korean over here. But that restuarant we tried out at wasnt as good as the one we normally go. Still trying out the various korean restuarants around here though they serve similar food. The first one is still the best. I WANT YUMMY FOOD.
Had my first test on Monday. Japanese short test. It is the kind of test where everybody around you give you the "i'm going to score full marks" look after the paper. Haha... It is only 5%...
