Day at the Beach!

This title reminds me of a oral exam which i failed! Haha.. i still remember. 9/20. But I can't remember was it an english oral or a chinese one. Hated oral. Guess i'm shy and don't like to talk to people. Anyway, I am still shy now. So i still dislike oral. haha.


After much discussion the night before, we decided to head for Mission Bay today. It is approximately 15~20mins bus ride away. spent so much time looking for the busstop. we were lost! Anyway the bus frequency is fairly low.. like 30mins to 1 hr interval. So we had to entertain ourselves while waiting for the bus. took some pictures at the busstop. Pictures are with weijing... maybe she'll upload them.

What i was stoning at while waiting for the bus. the building with lots of glass panels looking stuff is Britomart. The transport centre in Auckland.

Bus to Mission Bay is $3.20. Though there is only 3 stops to talk about. Quite ex huh..

Very sunny but people still like to busk in the sun. I think i am tanner now than before already. And i didnt even try to tan myself.. All the walking around is enough to darken me!

Lunch! Fish and chips. got alot of chips! Couldnt finish them.. Not too bad. The fish was pretty fresh just that once again.. a little pricy for what is served. $15.90. Paying for the ambience I suppose. Sea view mah.

Water in a pretty presentation. They had so much time they went to fold little slips of serviettes and put around the neck of the jar. Hmmm doesnt really help in the pouring though. Maybe it has more functional justifications which i just failed to realise.

Movenpick Ice-cream! No beach is complete without an ice cream palor! Didnt get anything from there though.

Lots of birds there!

This is so cool! See that yellow thingy there? Initially when he was trying to get it up we were speculating what is it. Kite? parachute??? This guy with the yellow thingy is actually wakeboarding, without a boat. All you need is that yellow kite like thing. And it probably is some wakeboarding+wind surfing sport. So amazing. He flew up for like 3 seconds! Haha.. cooool. Wonder if he can control the direction he is going or not. seems like he can. hahah.. if not i don't know how he is gonna get back to shore. We were not the only ones watching. We're not sua ku! everybody is watching. haha..
Evening had dinner with my dad's friend- auntie clancy. Really nice lady. She brought us to this chinese restaurant which seemed to have won the title of the best chinese restaurant in auckland. haha.. Food is pretty good. Had red bean soup at the end and it tasted like my mum's! made me miss home for awhile... I feel bad for bringing so many people with me to dinner and made auntie clancy spend so much now...

University of Auckland!

Have been going for orientation these 2 days. Feels like a freshie all over again! Getting lost in school... impressed/amazed by some stuff u see around school... introducing yourself, going on campus tours, trying to make friends.. Anyway i am so not used to introuducing myself as "shyuan". I need to hestitate awhile before i tell people my name. They keep insisting that "woan" is my middle name. -_-!

UoA is a interesting place. People really like to sit on the grass and watch the grass grow. Really got people just sit on the grass at some random spot and read book or use laptop! Western culture. Haha.. I told weijing i want to sit on the grass and take picture! Next time i'll be on the cover of UoA international student handbook booklet with that picture. :)

At AoU, Real Estate people are under the business school. Or sometimes called commerce. Heard they just completed this nicey new looking building recently. So good for me! Don't dare to take too many pictures around school cause i'll look very sua ku! Snapping pictures around school looks weird.

I look upset in that picture. maybe because i cant open my eyes i cant smile properly! It is coordinated! haha. Super sunny day. Can get sunburns standing out there for like 20 mins. But the air is still cool.

Greenery! What makes NZ NZ. Fits the geographical imagination which fernleaf or nestle created! Just that auckland is lacking the sheeps and cows. Haven seen any yet. Only got those slaughtered ones in supermarket. :(

endless toilets! got so many cubicles. I was so impressed I thought NUS should take this as a case study and do something about their toilets. PLANNING DISSERTATION! They have hand towels for you to dry your hands too. And their tap water is warm!! YEa... i like! But might as well since their summer isnt exactly warm anyway. So... the water better be.

When the toilet is very nice what do girls do? Take picture! The cleaning auntie was pretty amused by us.

Just when you think UoA is all bright and new and modern, check this out!Scary! look like dracula's castle! Picture is kind of blur because it is night mode and the camera lags a little. Probably moved in the process of capture. Also, was quite busy fighting off mosquitoes! So cant help it but move abit. Alright.. not quite abit.

Auckland is a place of not too good topography for lazy people like me. There are slopes EVERYWHERE. really EVERYWHERE. gonna have nice toned sexy legs when i get back. Maybe can lose some weight from all the walking too. So i dont have to come back with 5kg more. All i want is to still be able to wear my levis when i get back. Not asking much right?

The slope I got to conquer everyday. Just outside my apartment. Look carefully at how the cars are parked. It is really very steeeeeeep and longggggggggg.

The slope seems gentle here. But it is really pretty steep! evidence no 2!

After a long flight.. finally reach auckland. Actually this 10+ hrs didnt feel that long after all, weird. When we just arrived, we thought the weather was fine.. not very cold what. Then after some time... it became colder and colder! At night we were freezing! wore my trusty NUS windbreaker. Not bad.. didnt fail me. just abit ugly to be wearing that around. The wind was super strong, i didnt think my adidas can make it.

there were these stary stary stuff on the plane! so pretty huh.. AUCKLAND!room was all nice and neat when i just went in. Until a disaster called unpacking befalls!

View from my room. A cloudy/ drizzling day.a Bright sunny day! The sky in auckland is so blue.Alot of other pictures. will load it another day or maybe somewhere else. Went to explore University of Auckland a little today. Not bad a school but i guess NUS is like much bigger. Anyway i think there are like 40% of US students among all the international students. So many of them.

This taiwanese guy stopped us to sell his banking services in sch today. When he heard we are from NUS, he asked us 为什么这么想不开要来这里?! hahaha.. he said NUS is a good school.. so y did we decide to go to university of auckland. hmmm we came to rest and relax mah! anyway NZ ppl really do things super slowly and pack up to go home from work very fast! Talk about slacking. I must have been a super hardworking chap in NUS going by NZ standards.

Last night in Singapore!

wooooooooo.... it feels very weird. Feels like i shd be looking at my house a few more times... hug my dog more.. bring the dog out for longer walks etc etc. haha. so gonna miss my dog.. and of course all my lovely friends and family!

My aunt ask me to go over my grandma place for dinner today.. she say she gonna cook mango fish for me. So i happily went over like any other day.. thinking it will just gonna be the fish and me. 没想到! my cousins, uncles, aunt so many people were there! Like eating reunion dinner.. even the setting reminds me of reunion dinner!

Been eating too much recently. 不行啊! Fats is building up so i'll be all nice and warm in nz. :(

Will take pictures frantically when i get to auckland and post them up. Now got too many things to pack.. i've got no idea how to squeeze them into my nt exactly small backpack. Chua yirong.. i got double check with ur 爱心 NZ packing leeeeeest. haha!

Feb is usually a lovey dovey month. At least until14/2. Since there are so much publications for V day urging ppl to show their affections.. there got to be alot of love is in the air! From a geographical point of view.. love will rise up the atmosphere, condenses, saturates and rains on you! Thats y 15 feb onwards, there is not much love left in the air.

Just started watching 公主小妹 3 days ago. I know i am lagging. Not bad a show so far.. quite sweet.. and i think 吴尊 is so shuai! gosh.... Everytime i see him on the verge of kissing the girl i'll feel very ji dong. hahaha.. i think i am mad! I'm in love too!

How come everything looks so sweet on tv huh.. these people. 暗恋/明恋 both also like very sweet like that. Y doesnt happen to me?! Becauseeeeeee..... there isnt a 吴尊 around me! Where have all the cute guys gone? Maybe NUS screens all male candidates to make sure they are not excessively cute in case the girls get distracted. Must be.

Anyway.. i realise all the guys i think are cute are about the same pattern. haha... you'll see...

Do you think they look kind of similar? Prefer wang li hong because he is so talented on top of being good looking. Should watch him play violin! he is heart meltingly gorgeous!

Spent alot of money in the month of feb. Buying new year stuff.. NZ stuff... bought a camera few days ago! old old model but the salesman swears by it. So ok lor... he say until so good. and not like i know alot about cameras nor can i do wonders using the manual functions. nvm la... can take, got picture can already. hahaha..

Being a very unsatisfied customer and surrounded by fellow unsatisfied friends.. we randomly stop some waiter and asked him if something is missing.. We ask him where is the mushroom.. where are the vegetables.. hahah.. probably tramatised him abit.
