I understand that i've been back for a long long time already and i am still not done uploading/updating on my europe trip. Haha.. Too preoccupied with the Olympics. Or rather as all of you know... too preoccupied with MICHAEL PHELPS. yea.... loved him since 4 yrs ago! I want to migrate to US and be his neighbour. So whoever is/are concerned, we need to have a farewell party soon.

There is a whole stretch picture of all the rulers who once governed the place. Everybody has got a crown on other than this guy who has flowers in his head. The artists are making fun of him. And under the horse there is this plant which looks kind of pricky.. and thats a symbol of him being a bad guy. The guy the ppl liked best had a rose under his horse. Such preferences... how subtly expressed. Politically correct! haha.

The guy nobody likes

The building was once destroyed by bombs. Black parts are supposed to be remains of the orginal building stuffed back in their exact positions. I wonder how they figured that out..

Turned out that there were armed soldiers guarding at the wall. So if u managed to climb over without being noticed, you are on 1/3 of the way to freedom and 2/3 to death. You'll have to run for your life towards the river, swim for your life and in the whole process, pray that the guard trying to shoot you has some hand-eye dsyfunction coordination disorder.

St Vitus Cathedral

Gothic looking flying buttresses. Golden Lane. No Gold though. Quaint little colourful houses.Lots of painters/ photographers selling their works along this bridge. The pictures were gorgeous. I wish i can take photos like that. Drawing like those they were selling is out of the question so I dont even bother to wish i could do that.

War is bad.

You've heard about it somewhere, doesnt matter how much you dislike history. You know there was this horrible horrible place called the Nazi Concentration Camp. Thats where we visited. The stories behind it are too horrible to tell.. google it if you want to find out more.. let pictures do the talking this time round.

Auschwitz Camp. Kept trying to imagine if what I saw was what the prisoners then saw. But I guess that isnt quite the case. The same thing looks so different to different people, influenced by different emotions. Will never see this place the same way it was seen.
